President: Hina Sharma, M.D.
Dr. Sharma has shared her expertise in
the many facets of providing healthcare, including Chief
Medical Officer of her own company. Dr. Sharma was born in
India and raised in the United States and has always felt
compelled to share her experiences both as a physician and
humanitarian in India. Of course, the Tsunami has provided
her both the impetus to act now and the collective
conscience of others to take on the daunting task of
reconstruction and deal with the many social issues that
poverty now, as in the past, presents. She strongly believes
in working in partnership with existing organizations to
build long-term programs that help to break through the
prison of poverty.

and healthcare. Ms. Bloom is Chief Executive Officer of a
cutting edge healthcare company and feels that by using
efficient practices and working with existing organizations,
we can improve educational and medical resources in a
meaningful and long-term process. She sees poverty as a
complex issue that needs to be attacked in a holistic manner
and feels that we need to begin by forming a community of
organizations that will help build communities in
underserved areas.
